GrowthXP Partogram

Total birth process visualisation

Printed reports from partograms traditionally consist of separate components, often in formats which are difficult to follow, especially for parents.  PC PAL’s new Partogram report :

  • consolidates the vital data held in the electronic health record to visualise the total birth process in four logical sections.
  • is ideal for immediate, postpartum conversations with parents, their future reference, and long-term archiving for medical follow up and  archiving compliance.

GrowthXP Partogram

1 Overview

The overview page shows the data for mother and baby in a convenient, chronological order. The schematic timeline shows a selection of events from the specific charts. A notes section can include interventions and bedside observations.

2 Active Labour

This most familiar section of a partogram shows:
⦁    Cervical dilation
⦁    Station FFD (quantitative and qualitative scales)
⦁    Fetal presentation
⦁    Scales for amniotic fluid, fetal heart rate, and epidural
If labour exceeds 12 hours, the graph continues on the next page and dynamically adapts for optimal visualisation and legibility. Below the graph, a table lists all data points shown in the graph and can continue into the next page as required.
Adjust settings to customise the partogram report to local guidelines (e.g. Alert and Action line gap)

3 Contractions and fetal heart rate

This section documents fetal well-being and how it is affected by the mother.

Vertical major events lines (4cm dilation, birth)

Graphics are intuitive and easy to understand, with clear markings and symbols.

4 Maternal Vitals

This section documents the mother’s well-being:

  • Oxygen saturation
  • Respiratory rate
  • Temperature
  • Pulse
  • Blood pressure, systolic and diastolic

If additional information, more sections, and data tables are needed, they will be displayed under this section, providing space for 5 tables containing x number of data points.
